TOOLS BlooDirect PCR kit
TOOLS BlooDirect PCR Kit allows amplification of DNA directly from whole blood containing EDTA without any DNA purification step. This kit utilizes specially formulated Blood PCR reaction buffer and the novel Blood DNA polymerase to exhibit high resistance to PCR inhibitors found in blood and retains polymerase activity even with samples containing 40% whole blood. The Blood DNA polymerase in this kit is one of the thermostable DNA polymerases with strong 3’-5’ exonuclease activity (proofreading activity), which results in its extremely high fidelity, 10-15 times higher than Taq DNA polymerase. So, PCR product from TOOLS BlooDirect PCR Kit is also great for cloning or other demanding applications. Assay of the blood sample with TOOLS BlooDirect PCR Kit couldn’t be simpler: add the respective blood sample into the reaction mix and run PCR right away.

High resistance and robust with high input of anticoagulant-containing whole blood sample
Amplification of human dystrophin DNA fragments from human blood collected with Vacutainer™ EDTA Blood Collection Tube. Blood was added directly into reactions in various ratios and PCR was performed according to the protocol in the product datasheet. The PCR products were checked by running electrophoresis with 5 uL of samples per well (100V, 1% TAE agarose gel prepared with TOOLS DNA View (TT-DNA01) in 1X TAE buffer (TOOLS 50X TAE buffer (TT-50TA) for 30 minutes. DNA size was referenced with TOOLS 1kb Ladder (TMG1kb).
